I'm delighted to welcome Richard Sargeant to the team, who will join us next month to lead our data transformation consulting practise. He has over ten years experience working in the public and private sector on transformation programmes which have had digital and data at their heart. Richard has experience across a variety of sectors, including Energy, Financial Services, and Media.

After working at the Treasury and Google, he became a founding director at the Government Digital Service: creating the Digital Service Standard which all public services must now pass before launch; setting up the first data science network in government; and even becoming the Cabinet Office's 'data analytics guru' according to the Economist.

Most recently Richard was Director of Transformation at the Home Office, leading a major programme of change reaching 120,000 staff across business units for immigration, counter terrorism, and policing. He advised senior leaders on how to transform staff skills, culture, and processes to take advantage of new technology to drive down costs, raise staff engagement, and improve service impact.

Richard says:
"It has been a privilege to work towards the digital transformation of government in the past few years. Building on that experience, I'm really looking forward to helping our expert team and our clients to apply Artificial Intelligence to business problems. With the granularity of data now available to firms, this is a technology that has come of age."
