This free evening workshop offers a "Practical Introduction into Artificial Intelligence," at 4.00pm until 6.00pm on the 23rd February, at the Impact Hub, Westminster.

While full artificial intelligence is still far into the future, the latest ‘machine learning’ algorithms are making progress on problems that we previously thought were the unique domain of humans; tasks like speech and object recognition.

In this hands-on session, participants will get a flavour of cutting edge artificial intelligence by building their very own handwriting recognition engine.

This will be placed in the wider context, so participants can understand what is (and is not) currently possible with algorithms, and how these can be applied in the real world. No technical background is required.
